In the spring of 2019, one of our primary classes, Mrs. Zack's grade 2/3 class worked for weeks, alongside the head drama teacher at McNair Secondary School, on a production of The Wizard of Oz.  This involved our students traveling over to McNair, as well as visits from the drama teacher from McNair to Kingswood, to work with our students to learn songs, actions, and dialogue from the infamous scene when Dorothy first lands in Munchkin Land!  This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with the school where they will work and learn as they travel through their school years, and a chance for the senior students at this secondary school to work with the students of one of their feeder schools--our very own Kingswood Eagles!  The rest of our school, from grades K-7 were then given the chance, along with the performers' families, to go and be the audience at this amazing production.  What a prime example of connecting between our elementary school and our secondary school communities!
