During the months of September and October 2025, students at Kingswood, across all grades, completed the Richmond Formative Reading Assessment (RFRA). The RFRA is used by teachers at the beginning of the school year to identify reading skills that are strengths and skills that are stretches for every student. This early year assessment helps identify skills to develop for each student and guides teacher planning and instruction. This October RFRA also serves as a 'benchmark' to compare to end of the year RFRA in April/May. By comparing the early year RFRA with the end of the year RFRA, we can measure the progress a student has made through a single school year.
