Primary SEL Student Self Assessment

In third term, we also did an SEL student self assessment with our primary classrooms, Divisions 7-10.  What we noticed is that students overall feel cared for by staff, feel like they have friendships, feel like they can express their emotions appropriately.....they seem to have a good understanding of what SEL, mindfulness, and self-regulation means.  One of the most common strategies they felt helped them with their self-regulation were daily morning check-ins where they could express their feelings, share ideas with their classmates and teacher(s).
